Mr. Olsavsky is the Director of Bands at Clearwater High School, where he leads the concert band, marching band, orchestra and jazz ensemble with passion, dedication, and a deep love for music education. With over 13 years of teaching experience, Mr. Olsavsky is committed to helping students grow not only as musicians but also as confident, disciplined individuals.
A graduate of the University of North Florida, where he earned a degree in Music Performance, Mr. Olsavsky has performed and conducted in a variety of settings—from regional honor bands to statewide festivals. Under his leadership, the Clearwater High School Band Program has flourished, receiving invitations to various parades with the most prestigious being the 2026 National Independence Parade in Washington DC for America's 250th anniversary, and building a strong sense of community and pride.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Olsavsky stays actively involved in music education organizations such as Florida Band Association and believes in the lifelong impact of the arts on young people. When he's not directing ensembles or writing drill, he enjoys spending time with his wife Mrs. Olsavsky, their son and their wonderful pets. Mr.Olsavsky looks forward to another exciting year of music-making and memories with the incredible students of the Clearwater High School Band!
